Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce was born on 5th October,1967 in England. He is an Austalian actor. His father is a New Zealander pilot, his mother an English school-teacher. He was a competitive amateur bodybuilder from age 16-22 culminating in a Mr. Natural Victoria title.

He starred in several plays when he was young, and moved his way into television when he was hired for Neighbours in 1985.

His first major breakthrough into film came with his role as a drag queen in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in 1994. Since then, he has appeared in several US productions including L.A. Confidential, Ravenous, Rules of Engagement, Memento, The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Time Machine.

Pearce currently lives in Melbourne and is a long-time supporter of the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League.

In March of 1997, he married his childhood sweetheart Kate Mestitz in a quiet & lovely cermony with close family & friends. Guy & his wife make their home in Australia where they love to tend to their garden and their pets: cats Dudley and Gabriel and an African hunting dog named Zelda.
