Kylie Ann Minogue

Kylie Ann Minogue was born on 28 May, 1968. The eldest of three children, Kylie's acting career began early, but it was her role as Charlene in the Australian soap “Neighbours” (1985) which established Kylie as an international star. Her singing career began purely by accident when a record company executive heard Kylie's rendition of Little Eva's 1962 hit "The Loco-Motion". She signed with PWL Records and hit-makers Stock/Aitken/Waterman in 1987.

After her role in the 1989 film The Delinquents, and with the turn of the '90s, Kylie morphed from wholesome pop princess to sexy superstar. This new flirtatious image was underscored by her steamy romance with Michael Hutchence.

Minogue's renaissance continued in America, with "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" breaking into the Top 10 and Fever rapidly ascending the charts.2003's Brit Awards saw the much discussed Kylie posterior hit the headlines again, as it was pawed by Justin Timberlake in a steamy duet.

Although she's only managed one hit in the U.S. since her arrival as a singer in 1987, Kylie Minogue is both Australia and Europe's biggest selling female pop singer over that period and a pop culture icon in those areas.
