Catherine Zeta Jones


Catherine Zeta Jones was born on 25th September, 1969 in Swansea, West Glamorgan, Wales, UK. Her father name is Dai Jones and mother is Pat Jones.

She attended Dumbarton House School, Swansea, where she was an average student. She left school early without obtaining O levels qualifications to further her acting ambition.

Zeta-Jones' stage career began in childhood. She was a part of a Catholic congregation's performing troupe before she was 10, and by 1987 she was starring in 42nd Street as Peggy Sawyer in the West End.

She first made a name for herself in the early '90s when she starred in the Yorkshire Television comedy/drama series “The Darling Buds of May” (1991). The show was a smash hit and made Jones one of the United Kingdom's most popular television actresses.

Catherine subsequently played supporting roles in several films, including Christopher Columbus: The Discovery (1992), the miniseries Katharina die Große (1995) (TV)_ and a larger part as the seductive Sala in The Phantom (1996) before landing her breakthrough role playing the fiery Elena opposite Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro (1998).

She was married with Michael Douglas on 18th November 2000 and has 2 children.
