Hayley Jensen

Hayley Jensen was born on 7th January, 1983 in Albury, New South Wales. Hayley grew up loving the music of the era, her favourites being Martika, Cyndi Lauper and Roxette.

She was thrust into celebrity status after appearing on the second season (2004) of television ratings hit show Australian Idol, on Network Ten. She was the fourth finalist, leaving the show on November 1.

Before entering the Australian Idol competition she was a university student at University of Canberra studying Economics and Management. She was recently married to her husband Tim in January 2004.

After being turned back from her first audition, performing Christina Aguilera's "The Voice Within", in her hometown of Canberra—denied by Idol judges Ian “Dicko” Dickson and Mark Holden, voted "yes" by Marcia Hines—she travelled to Sydney to try again. This time Mark Holden changed his mind and agreed to give her a chance to perform in the first round of Australian Idol in Sydney.

According to reports published in Australian television/gossip magazine, TV Week, it was stated by Hayley that she had moved to Sydney. She also stated that her debut album had tentatively been given a March 2006 release date.

She was married with Tim Jensen on January 2003.
