JoJo

JoJo was born on born 20th December, 1990 in Vermont. She is an American R&B and pop singer and actress.

She came to fame in 2004 with her platinum, self-titled debut album and became the youngest solo artist to have a #1 single in the United States with the song "Leave (Get Out)” ", which was one of three singles she released that year. JoJo has also began a film career, and in 2006 starred in two Hollywood films, aquamarine and RV.

She started singing when she was two years old by imitating her mother, putting her own spin on everything from nursery rhymes to pop tunes. JoJo's stage name comes from a childhood nickname.

After appearing on talk shows and gospel festivals, she had a spot competing on the television show America’s Most Talented Kids; even though she lost to Diana DeGarmo, record producer Vincent Herbert contacted her and asked her to audition for Blackground Records; during her audition for Barry Hankerson, Henkerson told her that late singer Aaliyah's spirit had brought her to him. She was signed to the label, and had recording sessions with famed producers like The Underdogs, Soulshock and Karlin.

Jojo has been dating soccer star Freddt Adu since 2005.
